This is a project that asks how can we get close to our children and at the same time question the thoughts and patterns that alienate us parents from ourselves.
It’s a project to support parents supporting their children and intends to be an ally to all parents in the life-alienating circumstances which they may currently find themselves in.
This is a project about not conforming to all the concepts around parenting holding sway in London in 2011, that parents need to dominate their children, that parents need to show their children who’s boss, who rules the roost, who calls the shots. It wants to stop the pretence that parents need to know what they’re doing.
